OSHA has released its preliminary list of the top 10 most frequently cited standards for fiscal year 2025. This annual list is a valuable tool for employers, helping identify common workplace hazards and guiding efforts to keep employees safe and organizations compliant.
For the 15th consecutive year, Fall protection—General requirements topped the list as the most frequently cited standard, underscoring the continued importance of prioritizing fall prevention measures. Several other standards shifted positions from the previous year, with Respiratory protection moving down to number five and Scaffolding rising to number seven.
